Brussels, 29 October 2019 - efficy, the Belgian CRM publisher, today announced that it has become the purchaser of SumaCRM, the simplest and most useful Spanish CRM for small businesses.

Suma CRM was born in 2015. After only four years, the publisher represents a recurring monthly turnover of €47,000 with 906 customers and reached break-even point since August.

efficy, the European publisher of CRM for medium-sized and large companies, was founded in 2005 and today represents an annual turnover of €20 million, 175 employees and 2,500 customers in 33 countries.

Payment will be made in 3 installments (November 2019, 2020, 2021). The first instalment represents €750,000 and the other 2 variable instalments could reach a total of €2,100,000.

After the purchase, SumaCRM will survive and remain independent, the team also remains in place. The main objective of the purchase is to accelerate product development by transferring all the functionalities of efficy CRM to SumaCRM.

For its part, efficy CRM will enter the Spanish market through the main door thanks to SumaCRM's reputation in Spain and Latin America. Indeed, the Spanish publisher appears to be a pioneer by telling all the stages of a start-up's life in complete transparency.

SumaCRM, the pioneer of transparency.

In fact, we have been able to read the entire buy/sell process (or almost) live from the blog for several weeks. It all started a month ago when one of SumaCRM's founders, Tomás Santoro, published an article, telling in great detail the offer they had just received. This was followed by the publication of the Letter of Intent (LOI), Due Diligence and even the first draft of the purchase/sale contract.

Because of the risk involved, this is something that has never been done before in the history of start-ups and has finally materialized.

"Now we only have the best left. Continue to work on our dream: to make SumaCRM the best CRM for VSEs with the help of those who have already done it for medium and large companies, efficy CRM", comments Tomás Santoro, founder of SumaCRM.

And according to Cedric Pierrard, founder of efficy CRM.

"The entire efficy team is looking forward to working with the Spanish team. This acquisition will allow us to have a greater presence in Spain and to enter the VSE market, which will be new for us. Now, with SumaCRM, we have a solution for every company. "

Without a doubt, an acquisition that, by putting customers at the centre of all concerns, is good for both companies.
